Citroen has released the first video of rally-ace Sebastien Loeb testing the new C-Elysee WTCC car during a private test session in France.

The nine-time WRC champion will be competing with Citroen in the WTCC this year for the first time in his career. As per WTCC regulations, the C-Elysee will be powered by a 1.4-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine good for 380 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. Loeb will join former Chevrolet driver Yvan Muller for the 2014 season as Citroen begins a massive factory backed campaign in the series.

The C-Elysee WTCC will debut to the public at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show and will contest the WTCC championship in the 2014 season.

Check out the video and tell us what you think. Does Loeb have a good chance of dominating the WTCC like he did in WRC? The driving parts of the video don’t happen until about 50% in, so skip ahead to see the C-Elysee on track at Paul Ricard.
