Ferrari Slames Spanish Replica Manufacturer

After a video emerged of Spanish authorities discovering a fake Ferrari manufacturer, the real Ferrari has commented on the fakes dubbing them complete “forgeries”.

During their investigations, the local authorities discovered fiberglass moulds as well as a range of fake Ferraris and Aston Martins which to the naïve, actually appear like the rear-deal. In fact, the manufacturer clearly invested a lot of time into the creation of each fake event even fitting them with similar interiors complete with Ferrari badges and what appears to be real leather as well.

Some cars found include a fake Ferrari 16M Scuderia Spider, as well as a selection of other Ferrari F430s and what appears to be a fake Aston Martin actually based on a real Maserati 4200 GT compete with engine and all. Each of these fake supercars cost over $50,000.

Unsurprisingly, Ferrari was upset with this discovering. The company said, “It’s not a case of copies but just forgeries pure and simple, on a par with those fake Hermès bags sold in the streets.

“If you really want a Ferrari, knock on the door of a Maranello dealership, to be found in 62 countries around the world with over 200 dealers: there you are bound to find the real car of your dreams.”

The only problem with that final statement is that it’s doubtful these fakes were created due to an inability to find a local Ferrari dealership, but due to the fact that they cost significantly less than the real thing.

  1. What about the engines? What were they using? You should be able to spot the nut in a second. How did they manage to make them so good?

  2. Just a guess, but Toyota 4 cyl motors? lol Seriously though… Those are some great looking imitations! Well above your standard kit car!
