When Jaguar first revealed the stripped-down Jaguar XKR-S GT, the car was only destined for sale in North America. However, it’s recently been confirmed that a further 10 units are set to hit U.K. shores soon priced at £135,000 each.
The Jaguar XKR-S GT features a new carbon-fibre front splitter, dive planes, extended wheel arch spats, an elevated rear wing, rear diffuser and an aluminium valance. These body modifications allow the Jaguar XKR-S GT to produce an awesome 145kg of downforce.
Jaguar have also developed new front and rear suspension for the Jaguar XKR-S GT which benefits from a wider track. The suspension features increased camber, revised bushings, a new steering system and faster steering ratio. The dampers feature increased rates of 68% at the front and 25% at the rear.
Jaguar developed a carbon ceramic brake system for the XKR-S GT with six and four-piston monoblock calipers matched to 398mm and 380mm discs. The 20-inch forged and lightweight alloy wheels are wider than ever before. The exterior wears a Polaris White paintjob with unique graphics.
The engine remains the same as the standard XKR-S. Consequently, the 5.0-liter supercharged V8 pumps out a mighty 550hp. Performance is improved for a 0-100km/h time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 300km/h.
Each of the ten units heading to the U.K. will be in right hand drive.
