Time for our second photo dump from 24 Hours of Spa 2013! Race leader has changed temporarily as the number 3 BMW Z4 GT3 took a pit stop and changed driver. The number 50 Porsche 997 GT3 R leads the race by a rapidly reduced margin with the number 84 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 quite a distance behind.
Our McLaren teams continue to put in the laps. The number 5 Boutsen Ginion car lost a wheel on track and we are currently unsure as to its status. Only one 12C GT3 has been retired (that we know of). The Hexis Racing car that started in 10th place has had issues which we think has forced its early retirement (we saw flames). The number 69 Gulf Racing car has broken into the top 20 for the first time too!
Ferrari’s lead the Pro-AM and Gentleman Drivers cup. Strange things are starting to happen in the pits too with a BMW Z4 catching itself on the pit entry and a high volume of cars receiving warnings for disobeying the pitlane speed limits. We even heard rumours of a small fire at the number 51 Ferrari 458 Italia garage…
