Lexus and Toyota Announce Line-up for Goodwood Festival of Speed 2013

Toyota and Lexus have just released their plans for the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2013 where the firms are set to bring a plethora of show stoppers to the historic British automotive event.

First and foremost, Toyota is set to debut a host of new Toyota GT86 models, exactly one year after the standard Toyota GT86 made its UK debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2012 last year. Firstly, the Toyota stand with include a new track-focused Toyota GT86 CS V3 model as well as the Toyota GT86 TRD Griffon. Additionally, the Toyota FT86 Open Concept will make its U.K debt at Goodwood in the coming days.

Moving away from its road cars and concepts, Toyota will also bring its three works Le Mans racers including the Toyota TS010 and Toyota GT-One from the 1990’s as well as the current Toyota TS030. All three of these race cars will be in action of the famous hillclimb. Additionally, the Toyota Motorsport’s EV P002 Pikes Peak electric racer will make its first U.K appearance with Rod Millen behind the wheel. Completing Toyotas line-up of racing cars, it will also bring four Toyota Celica WRC cars. These will be the ST165, ST185, ST205 and the Group B TA64 driven by Björn Waldegård.

Lexus on the other hand will use the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2013 to mark the launch of the brand-new Lexus IS-range. Additionally, Lexus will be bringing one of just 500 Lexus LFAs to the show!
