The facelifted 2014 BMW X5 M was recently spied undergoing testing ahead of its official debut in the coming months.
Not too long ago, the 2014 BMW X5 was released and previews some of the styling changes and tweaks which will feature on the 2014 BMW X5 M. However, as the following spy shots show, the 2014 BMW X5 M will feature brand new bumpers all around as well as more aggressive skirts.
Additionally, the 2014 BMW X5 M is set to debut with quad exhaust pipes and large rear tires. Just like the regular 2014 BMW X5, the 2014 BMW X5 M will benefit from the standard cars massive weight savings which have helped to shave off 450 pounds from the regular 2014 BMW X5 compared to the previous generation car. Under the hood, the 2014 BMW X5 M is set to feature an updated version of the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine found in the current car.
In 2014-specification, it’s expected to pump out an equal 555hp and 500lb-ft of torque, but improved performance times will be achieved thanks to the dramatically lower weight of the 2014 BMW X5 M compared to the outgoing model. In fact, the 2014 BMW X5 M could weigh around 5,000 pounds.
