2014 BMW M5 Leaked via Online Configurator

After being spied testing on numerous occasions this year, the 2014 BMW M5 has finally been leaked online thanks to the M5’s online configurator being unlocked ahead of schedule.

Fortunately, shots from the online configurator were captured and now we can showcase some of the small styling tweaks present in the 2014 BMW M5.

While the car does remain predominately unchanged, there are a few minor styling changes such as the front kidney-style grille now featuring larger vertical slats while the headlights have also been tinkered with by BMW engineers.

Under the hood, the 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine from the current BMW M5 will remain unchanged but new customers will now have the option of an additional Competition Package which boosts power from 552hp to 567hp while also adding firmer suspension, new black wheels and a revised M dynamic driving mode.

In the cabin, the 2014 BMW M5 features the same slicker steering wheel found on the BMW M6. Additionally, the iDrive system control now senses touch.

Other than those changes, the 2014 BMW M5 remains identical to the outgoing model and is expected to make its world debut in the coming months before going on sale in Europe later this year.
