XCar the crew who recently showed us a comparison between the old BMW M3 and the new BMW M3 GTS have showed us yet another interesting video, they went over to the Moroccan desert and mountains to test the new generation Range Rover. And to do that, they had the top of the line Range Rover V8 Autobiography version; while we have spoken a lot about the new British SUV, it was about time someone put that to test, and that’s what exactly XCar have done.
The new Range Rover having being introduced at the Paris Auto Show 2012 has gathered a substantial amount of attention in regard what it can do, now lighter than the previous generation it poises to set newer standards in the SUV category, competitors are still the same with BMW offering the X5, Porsche with the Cayenne, Chrysler with the Jeep Cherokee among others.
Just a recap, the new Range Rover comes in various options among them being two petrol engines, the 5.0 liter V8 rated at 375hp and the supercharged version with a familiar 510hp. Two diesel options will also be made available with a 3.0 liter TDV6 option rated at 258hp and a 4.4 liter SDV8 rated at 339hp. All four engine options will be offered with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Acceleration figures for the Supercharged Range Rover are 0-60mph in just 5.1 seconds, a reduction of 0.8 seconds over the previous model.
