As we gear up for the 20th anniversary of the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2013 which will also see the Goodwood Revival, YouTube user TheSuperCarDriver has revealed a video of a Ford GT40 which will take part in the Goodwood Revival. They filmed it at Donington Park with Mandarin Motorsport and it was WTCC Champion Rob Huff who was driving it.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed 2013 will take place from 11 to 14 of July and it’s expected to be one of the largest ever held with Porsche taking the center stage as it will celebrate its 50th anniversary. In this video however, you get to see the Ford GT40 as it revs across the track giving you a taste of action of what to expect, we shall be at the event and also hope to see most of you there!
For those who know the history behind the Ford GT40 properly, then you are aware that it provided the first victory for an American manufacturer at a major European race, and this was in the 24 Hours of Lemans in 1966, ending Ferrari’s streak of six consecutive wins that had lasted from 1960-1965 and it went ahead to win three more in a row.
