Just like the Aston Martin DBS Volante before it, the recently launched re-incarnation of the Aston Martin Vanquish will also receive a Volante variant in the near future, with spyshots of the car recently emerging thanks to CarPix.
The car was spotted undergoing fierce winter testing in the heart of Sweden and is wearing very little disguise as it’s simply going to look identical to its coupe brother, albeit without a permanent hardtop. In saying that, Aston Martin engineers did try to hide the integrated bootlid spoiler with a fake color-matched cover.
Despite recent advancements prompting many supercar makers to introduce hardtop convertibles, like the 458 Spider and 12C Spider, Aston Martin will again opt for its traditional fabric roof which will quickly store away behind the passenger comportment.
No official launch date for the Aston Martin Vanquih Volante has been released, but Geneva is possible in March and whenever the car is launched, expect it to feature the same 5.9-liter, 565hp V12 engine as the standard Vanquish coupe.
