The Sound of a McLaren M8C

YouTube user daxrx7 recently shot a video of a McLaren M8C Can Am race car at the Monza circuit. The M8C in the video is so loud that the camera man had to jump away while caught unawares with only the technicians looking relaxed as they knew what was about the happen!

The McLaren M8C was released in 1970 as the production version of the M8A factory car. Due to its new restructured body, the car earned the nickname of the “Bat Mobile”. The engine fitted to the M8C received an increase in power which made wider tires even more necessary to help alleviate wheel-spin. The engine was a 7.6 liter Chevrolet fuel injected small block unit built by the Lozano brothers. It packed a 670hp punch.
