The latest reports show that the 2013 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster is sold out until mid 2014 as Auto Motor und Sport confirms. Lamborghini will not delivering to new customers until the middle of next year. Its a repeat of what happened with the coupe too where customers were often quoted long periods of time for delivery, some buyers even decided to buy through unofficial means and at a higher fee.
The Aventador Roadster has been priced at €300,000 or $441,600. Other than the choice for a removable roof that features a two-piece carbon fiber system, the roadster boasts the same mid-mounted, 6.5 liter naturally aspirated V12 engine generating 700hp. Coupled to this is an ISR seven-speed gearbox and push-rod suspension. It accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in just three seconds flat and has a maximum speed of some 350km/h. These figures are all similar to the coupe.
Lamborghini hasn’t revealed how many orders it has taken, yet the figure is expected to exceed 500 already.
