Today we received a set of interesting photos from an Italian company named Composite Worx. They normally produce bespoke seats for exclusive cars, but it seems that their latest project is on a bigger scale.

The car you see in the photos is apparently based on the Lotus Exige. Composite Worx will build the car, named the Extrema, and fit a 513bhp LS7 V8 engine lifted from the Chevrolet Corvette. The carbon and carbon kevlar body panels are a mix of Elise and Exige, both series 1 and series 2. The body kit makes the Extrema 23cm wider each side than the donor car.

It weighs in at just 970kg thanks to its lightweight carbon body. Composite Worx claim that it will hit 60mph in just 2.9 seconds, 100mph in seven seconds and carry on to 200mph.

The Extrema fits Composite Worx SP-1 twin skin full carbon and carbon kevlar seats, which have been designed to fit the Lotus. So far as we can make out, this is a unique one-off project.
