Paul McCartney’s one-off Aston Martin DB4 will be on auction next week. The 1964 DB5 was given to the Beatles member in that same year new. The auction will take place courtesy of RM Auction London on October 31st. A private viewing is set to be held a day before the actual event where invited members will get a chance to view the special cars.

Paul’s DB5 featured Armstrong Selectaride rear shock absorbers, chrome wire wheels, and a Motorola radio. The body was finished in Sierra Blue paint and fitted with a black leather interior, which included musical note-styled patterns in the stitching. However, the upholstery has since been replaced over the years considering the car has undergone several restorations.

It’s powered by a Tadek Marek’s dual overhead cam inline six-cylinder engine with three SU carburetors; a total of 280hp is produced and the entire set up is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The car has changed hands four times; in 1970 to Truebell Stationers in Wandsworth, 1983 to John Richard Rogers, of Ilford, in 1996 to John Hardy and finally to a British collector in 2002 who has included major changes since then.

Other than this DB5, there will be seven Aston Martins at the auction, which include an exceptionally rare 2001 Vanquish Prototype, the second produced by the factory, DB4s and DB6s. RM estimates that Paul McCartney’s DB4 will command a high price ranging from $575,000 to 605,000. This is because of the various attributes affiliated with it namely a Philips Auto-Mignon record player, fittingly for a Beatles member and a heritage certificate from the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust confirming that the car was delivered new to Paul in 1964.
