Road Atlanta’s annual Petit Le Mans sports car endurance race is nearing and Chrysler’s 2013 SRT Viper GTS-R is set and ready to claim a spot in the top five finishes in the race that will take place in Braselton, Georgia, USA. Having participated successfully during its debut in the American Le mans Series (ALMS) earlier in August and with a qualifying best of 1:22:158, they are even aiming for higher at Road Atlanta.
Just a recap of what drives the race car; its modifications are all in compliance with ALMS rules. Most of the parts look the same with the GTS road car but aerodynamics differ, it’s still powered by the 8 liter V10 engine exceeding the required 5.5 liter, but the governing bodies require them to use a restrictor in the engine’s intake.
