Hertz Rental Jaguar XKR Convertible on Fire at Nurburgring

The video you see below shows footage of a Jaguar XKR Convertible that recently set itself on fire at the Nurburgring. According to sources, the car was a rental from American rental company Hertz. Whats more, it seems that their rental insurance policies do not cover customers driving their cars on a racetrack.

To us, it looks as though the front brakes overheated, although we can’t be sure of the cause. The moral of the story? Unless you want to pay the cost for a new Jaguar XKR Convertible when things go wrong, use Nurburgring specialists such as Rent4Ring when you need a car for the Green Hell!
