Bigger is better for Binz, a German coachbuilder specialized in stretching and modifying Mercedes-Benz E-Class range. Most cars are being transformed into a limousine, an ambulance or a hearse. But this time Binz has rolled out its latest model, the X-Orange.

The Binz X-Orange combines the comfort of an E-Class with the load area of a delivery van. The distance from the center of the front wheel to the rear wheel has been increased to 3.75 meters. Thanks to the extended wheelbase, the Mercedes now measures 5.75 meters in length.

For a more sportive touch, the X-Orange is fitted with sport brakes and 20 inch aluminium wheels. The interior features carbon fiber racing seats with four-point harnesses and could be further enriched by adding alcantara, piano lacquer and a generous 3,500-watt sound system.

As for the engines, there is the choice between the diesel powered 2.1 liter four cylinder diesel which puts out 204 horsepower and 500Nm of torque, and two petrol powered engines. These are the 3.5 liter V6 with 292hp and 365Nm, and the more powerful 5.5 liter V8 with 388hp and 530Nm. Depending on the engine, acceleration from standstill to 100km/h will take respectively 8.5, 7.7, and 6.0 seconds. The top speed for all three models is limited at 210km/h.

The model pictured here is based on the 240hp E250 CDI diesel and costs in Germany at least €125,000. Upon request, the Binz X-Orange could also be based on the 518hp strong Mercedes E63 AMG Estate.

  1. What is it good for? Anyone in back would get decapitated by the seat belts, it’s too long for racing and any cargo transported by this would arrive smashed to pieces.

  2. It’s awesome and Hayder and Moxtrox have no idea what they are talking about. Its different, looks great and would be great build quality. 9/10 for me!!!
