Car Crash: Ski World Cup Winner Marcel Hirscher Crashes His Audi R8

Ski World Cup winner Marcel Hirscher had an accident in his Audi R8 V10 on Monday this week. The accident happened in Abtenau, Austria. Hirsher was taken to hospital following the impact with minor injuries despite the car being a total write-off. The 23-year-old was on his way to a press event at the time.

It seems that Hirsher was forced to swerve to avoid another car on a straight section of country road. He hit a tree and came to rest in the grass. He signed off training for a couple of days, otherwise, he didn’t sustain any longterm injuries.
