According to the guys at Insideline.com, the upcoming Jaguar F-Type will get a 5.0 liter V8 engine producing up to 542hp.
The news follows after official statements by Jaguar when they released the 3.0 liter supercharged V6 engine last week. Jaguar confirmed that the new 3.0 liter powerplant will be available as a 380hp-version for the F-Type.
The new F-Type was introduced at the New York Motor Show a few weeks ago. The sports car will be production ready in mid-2013 and is based on the C-X16 Concept released at the IAA Motor Show in September of 2011.
