Spyshots: 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class at Nurburgring

Spyshots 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL at Nurburgring

Teamspeed spies have snapped some new images showing the next generation Mercedes-Benz SL-Class. With very little camouflage still fitted to the car, the new pictures show the new aluminum body with culptured doors.

Following the facelifts in 2006 and 2008, the new 2013 Mercedes-Benz will feature a sharper and more upright nose similar to the new SLK an CL released over the past year. The sports car will be larger, lighter up to 100kg and powered by a new twin-turbo V8 engine producing up to 435hp.

It is rumoured that a V6 and V12 will also be available. According to insiders, the SL63 AMG and SL65 AMG are in the works as well. The official release is expected at the Detroit Auto Show next January.
