IAA 2011 Aston Martin DBS Carbon Edition II

Aston Martin has unveiled two new Carbon Edition DBS sports cars at the 2011 IAA Frankfurt Motor Show. These cars could be regarded as successors of the previous edition of the DBS Carbon Black introduced two years ago.

The new Aston Martin DBS Carbon Edition is available in the colors Flame Orange, Ceramic Grey and Carbon Black. Each DBS will undergo an unique paint process receiving seven layers of paint together with a 25 hour hand flat-and-polish finish. Customers will be able to specify a satin lacquer paint finish that is said to create a silk-like texture.

The Aston Martin DBS Carbon Edition II features several carbon fiber body parts, including the exterior mirror caps, the tail lamp fill-ins, front apron, rear diffuser and cabin trim. Furthermore these special edition will be offered with ten-spoke black diamond wheels and black brake callipers. The callipers are also available in the colors yellow, orange, red or gray. The interior of a Aston Martin DBS Carbon Edition is available in Obsidian Black or Maranello Orange leather.

Pricing for the DBS Carbon Edition starts at £ 186,582 (€ 257,912 / $ 287,576) for the coupe and £ 196,581 (€ 272,913 / $ 302,576) for the open-top Volante with first deliveries expected in the first quarter of 2012.
