In the latest episode of Fifth Gear, TV presenters Tiff Needell and Jason Plato got some help from two Formula 1 drivers. Johnny Herbert and Karun Chandhok helped the team while they put the Porsche Panamera Turbo against the new, 2011 Mercedes CL 63 AMG. Although both are quite different in their setup, both do appeal to the same customers.
The rear-wheel drive AMG is powered by the new 5.5 liter V8 biturbo engine developing 571hp and 900Nm of torque. The ‘other car’ from Stuttgart, the four-wheel drive Porsche Panamera Turbo is powered by a smaller 4.8 liter V8 twin-turbo engine providing you with 500bhp and 700Nm of torque.
hahaha, thanks por posting. that was pretty damn funny :D
i’d choose the Porsche too.
nice test but i am not that sure if herbert could be called an f1 star,he was like how many years on f1 and he achieved nothing.
Sorry but the CL 63 just has that sound that the porsche does not(has none) and it looks much better!
