Tesla is the fourth supercar manufacturer in a short time that needs to recall a part of its vehicle for a defect. For Tesla it’s a rather inherent problem as they discovered an overflowing 12V auxiliary cable rubbing against a carbon fiber panel on one of the 439 private roadsters.
The cable, which helps power a variety of auxiliary electrical systems if the primary cable fails, will be inspected and fitted with a protective sleeve. The recall only effects the 2.0 and 2.5 Roadsters, other Tesla owners do not have to worry.
