According to Automoble magazine, Audi is planning the release of the RS5 in the States. Not a lot is known. Until this moment it has been told that the American launch is increasingly likely to happen. A release could set for somewhere in the Summer of next year.
If the RS5 hits stateside, it would make it one of the first RS-cars to be shipped to the US since the departure of the slow-selling RS4 Cabriolet in 2008.
The RS5 is the latest in the A5 line-up and the most powerful vehicle available at this moment. It features a 4.2 liter V8 engine with 444hp and 430Nm of torque. Accerlating from 0-100km/h (62mph) is done in about 4.6 seconds. The top speed is limited to 250km/h (155mph). For an extra amount on top of the sales price the dealership will remove the speed limiter and allow a top speed of 280km/h (174mph).
The whole engine setup is coupled with Audi’s all-wheel-drive system, plus its new torque-vectoring rear-differential.
