Preview Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2010

The Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este is one of those events you should not miss when you share the love of the finest show cars. BMW will organize the event for the 12th time this year. The vehicles on display will make it the perfect weekend for those looking for a combination of lakeside ambience near Lake Come and the best in the automotive world. Please set 23–25 April in your agenda!

BMW gave a small preview of what to expect at the event. This year sees the 70th anniversary of one of the best moments in the history of BMW Motorsport: victory in the 1940 Mille Miglia. The hero of the day 70 years ago was the BMW 328. BMW will showcase the BMW 328 Mille Miglia Roadster Series 1 from 1937 among others. Other vehicles on display are a Jaguar XKC 120 from 1952, Talbot-Lago T150 C SS Goutte d’Eau from 1938 and Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600 Sport Pininfarina from 1965.

A selecting committee has picked out 52 models from six decades of automotive history for the event on the banks of Lake Como. They will be entered in seven different classes. In his capacity as Selecting Adviser, Urs Paul Ramseier is responsible for choosing the cars that will take part in the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.
