There doesn’t seem to be much of crisis atmosphere in Ingolstadt, homebase of Audi. After they’ve officialy presented the Audi TT RS in Geneva together with the Audi S5 Cabrio some renderings of a new Audi model have hit the internet. About a year ago the first speculations about a baby R8 came together with the design of the roofless version of Audi’s supercar. Today we can show you some renderings made by the Czech professional car designer, Jan Kamenistiak. The Audi R4 would aim on BMW Z2 which isn’t official either but if that should happen, Audi will probably announce the R4 with smaller engines than the TT range.
For now three engine possibilities exist for the R4, being a 1.4 TSI, a 1.8 TSI and a 2.0 TDI. If confirmed we hope that Audi will announce that the R4 will take the TT RS 2.5 TFSI engine with 340 bhp on it’s chassis. Much more isn’t known yet, let’s wait and hope that Audi is bringing a statement on this rendering soon!
