It has been announced a while back, but 2 days ago it finally happened. The production of the Tesla Roadster started. This roofless car has a 0-62 mph (100 kmh) time of 3.9 seconds and a 13,000 rpm redline, all with a very low economy created by it’s powerful electronic engine. Tesla hopes to build approximately 100 per year at a price for the consumer of around $ 100 000 (£ 55 000 – € 75 000).
