Time to put two Lamborghini tuners head-to-head with their latest upgrades for the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640:
First up is BF Performance, their performance kit includes a complete exterior and interior upgrade for the Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 and it makes the Murciélago look like a monster.
The bodykit was presented on the IAA Frankfurt Motorshow in September. On the frontside BF adds a movable spoiler that must provide the car with more downforce. At the back we can see a diffusor and a big wing. The sideskirts make the 19 inch wheels (front) and 21 inch (back) even look better. All exterior parts are made from carbon and if the client wishes them to be extraordinary they can be coloured in whatever colour they want. The interior is also upgraded with a couple carbon touches. Next to all the visual and downforce upgrades the team at BF Performance added another 20 bhp to the yet 640 bhp strong V12. That should make another difference in the sprint to 100 kmh (62mph) with about 0.1 seconds.
Murciélago by IMSA:
IMSA, another German supercar tuner has put his hands on the Murciélago aswell. They made an even more aggresive looking kit than the one from BF Performance. The company gained experience with Lamborghini tuning and upgrading on their previous Gallardo project.
This kit provides also lots of carbon fibre to make the car lighter and faster. With new side skirts, rear vented carbon-fiber ducts, a rear diffuser and a big spoiler it should compete fairly well with the BF Murciélago.
The IMSA aerodynamic-enhancement-program is now available for the LP640 and will soon be available for the ‘standard’ Murcielago as well.
All these tuning creations are great but personally I prefer any Lamborghini pure, not a fan of supercar tuning!
