Today the Challengers drove from Dresden to Sopot in Poland. They are staying in the Hotel Rezydent in the center of Sopot. Close to the beaches at the Baltic Sea and the city of Gdansk. Last night a lot of Challengers were guessing todays destination but Sopot wasn’t one of the many cities the Challengers thought they would be tonight.
Today was one of the longest legs of this years Challenge accounting for 700 kilometers. Most of the teams entered Poland without any trouble. Thanks to the friendly Polish border patrol who allowed the Challengers to the bus lane to enter the country. Only one team (Bob & Annie de Rooy) had trouble with their license plates and were not allowed to enter Poland. They hope to drive straight to the next checkpoint tomorrow. Except for this team all teams arrived safely in the hotel.
