After a horrific crash at Donington Park last weekend, British F4 driver Billy Monger has lost both his legs. The life changing crash occurred after Monger hit a stranded Patrik Pasma at high speed. Emergency responders on track spent nearly 2 hours extracting the teen driver from the wreckage, the extent of the damage on the 17-year old remained unknown till now.

Monger was airlifted to hospital but efforts to save his legs proved unsuccessful. His team and family have proceeded to setup a fundraising page to help offset the high bills involved with rehabilitation. Racing for JHR Developments, Monger has risen to the top of the league despite his budget limitations. You can access the fundraising page here.

Numerous Motorsport icons have showed their support towards the young driver, including 1996 F1 champion Damon Hill, multi series champion Mark Webber as well as Monger’s teammates.

We wish Billy and the Monger family all the best during this life changing process and hope for success through rehabilitation. Don’t forget to show your support through the community fundraising page.
