The New York Auto Show 2017 kicked off yesterday and this new Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is definitely one of the must-sees. Jeep was quick to label their track-oriented creation the world’s most powerful SUV.

Powered by a massive 6.2-liter V8, the beefy Trackhawk produces 707 hp and 875 Nm of torque (645 lb-ft). The colossal Jeep accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 290 km/h (180 mph).

The Cherokee Trackhawk shares the V8 HEMI and plenty of other track-oriented equipment with the insane Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, which is also present at the New York exposition grounds. The supercharged engine is married to the TorqueFlite eight-speed gearbox. Additionally there is a five drive-mode Select-Track system and Bilstein adaptive damping suspension.

The Trackhawk also sits 1 inch lower to the ground compared to non-SRT models. Combined with custom fender flares, side sills and a new hood the Trackhawk looks significantly more aggressive than the rest of the line up. We are still waiting for news on pricing and worldwide availability. For more information about the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, make sure to read our earlier release.
