MTM have a Bentley Continental GT on display at the Geneva Motor Show 2017 this year. If you feel a sense of deja vu, that because we have seen a MTM Bentley Continental GT Birkin Edition before, back in 2009. The MTM Bentley GT Coupe Birkin Speed Eight is based on the latest generation and looks very exciting indeed!
Although there was no official information available in advance of the Geneva show, we can reveal that the modifications here have been applied to the base Bentley Continental GT V8. Under the bodywork sits a 4.0 litre V8 power unit with a boost in power taking the standard 507 hp unit up to a huge 772 hp. Torque is also lifted from 660 Nm up to 950 Nm.
The power increases are down to a set of reworked turbochargers together with a new MTM engine management system, an MTM air intake system, MTM exhaust system and a modified fuel injection system with high pressure fuel pumps. The price for these comprehensive upgrades is a staggering 54,150 euros.
A subtle aerodynamic package is also available with a carbon front splitter and a carbon high performance wing. These pieces cost 3,950 euros and 4,150 euros respectively. The wheels are MTM Bimoto measuring 10,5×22“ with Michelin Pilot Super Sport.
