The Aston Martin AM-RB 001 has officially received a name! It will be known as the Valkyrie, taken from ancient Norse mythology. The Aston Martin Valkyrie is on display at the Geneva Motor Show 2017 with Aston Martin pushing it through as quickly as possible. The slow burn of details continues, we had to take a closer look!

The Aston Martin Valkyrie Hypercar will use a bespoke 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine designed and built by Cosworth. This will be coupled with a Rimac battery pack for a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio – 1 bhp per kilo. We are expecting its output to range between 900 hp and 1000 hp or more.

Its carbon fibre MonoCell will be supplied by composites specialist, Multimatic. Multimatic built the basis for the One-77 and Vulcan projects. They will work with Red Bull Advanced Technologies to produce a superb carbon fibre platform.
