The new Audi SQ5 will celebrate its premiere next year – likely at the Geneva Motor Show 2017. The most important innovations are that the Audi SQ5 comes with 48V and an electric turbocharger along with air suspension as optional extra. It will continue to see two different models as is the case with the first generation SQ5: a 3.0 liter V6 diesel for the European market and a V6 petrol version for the American, Russian and the Chinese market.

The European version will sport a significantly sportier suspension setup. The adaptive air suspension that we recently reviewed on the new Q5 3.0 TDI will be available as an optional extra. The SQ5 will also be built in the new Audi factory in Puebla, Mexico. Performance details are still unknown but we are expecting the V6 with electric turbochargers to deliver an output of around 340hp and 700Nm of torque+ while virtually eliminating turbo lag.
