Over the weekend the 8th edition of the Sun Valley Road Rally took place in Ketchum, Idaho. The road rally, which attracts a variety of rare supercars each year, has been a great success ever since its debut back in 2009.

The Sun Valley Road Rally is known to close down local Highway 75 and turn it into a temporary ‘no speed-limit zone’. Participants that bring their supercar thus get a unique chance to push their car to the max on this long stretch of unobstructed asphalt. As you can see on the video, the owner of a Bugatti Veyron Grand Vitesse, nicknamed the ‘Hellbug’, manages to hit a solid 230 mph (370 km/h) on one of his runs down the empty highway.

The Bugatti Veyron wasn’t the only beast unleashed at this year’s rally. The event also attracted cars such as the very rare Aston Martin One-77, multiple Porsche GT3 RS’ and a bunch of McLaren 675LT’s.
