Sergio Marchionne is about to be appointed CEO of Ferrari, say people that are close to the Ferrari board of directors. Current Ferrari CEO Felisa (69), will probably announce his retirement as chief executive officer of the Italian supercar brand today when Ferrari’s new board of directors meets for the first time with the first-quarter results being the main point on the agenda.

While Felisa has been thinking about retirement for several months now, he still hasn’t finalized his decision to do so meaning that there’s still a chance he will continue as head of Ferrari. Marchionne, who is currently CEO of Fiat Chrysler, could further steer Ferrari into a new direction after already orchestrating the supercar brand’s spinoff from the Fiat Chrysler Group back in January.

Ferrari representatives declined to comment on the matter, but expect news from Ferrari to emerge soon.
