The 2016 Bangkok International Motor Show currently underway at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Centre in the capital city of Thailand. Manufacturers have shown high interest in the show, and have thus showcased their products in huge fanfare. But there are three main products that have managed to attract eyeballs of every individual stepping on the show’s floor.

Aston Martin recently revealed their all-new model, the DB11, at the Geneva Motor Show and has now brought its new flagship model to the BMS 2016, in a bid to entice Thai customers with a combination of beautiful looks, luxurious interiors, and potent power mill. With design cues inspired by the Vulcan track car, the DB11 can surely make onlookers awestruck. Aston Martin engineers have equipped it with an engine that complements the dynamic styling. Hence, a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine performs the powering duty, and develops 600 hp and a peak torque of 700 Nm.

Being the smallest sibling in the BMW-M lineup, the M2 Coupe has managed to attract a huge fan-base. As a result, BMW expects the Thai audience to welcome its new M2 Coupe with open arms. This 2-door BMW has received a host of cuts, creases, spoilers, and diffusers, that clearly proclaim the M2’s performance capabilities. But the star of this package is the mighty 3-litre turbocharged engine, that exhales an exhilarating output of 365 hp and a peak torque of 500 Nm.

Volvo XC90
In an expanding market of luxury crossovers, Volvo has now introduced the 2016 XC90 to the Thai market. It packs in more advanced technologies and safety equipment that further enhance its value for money proposition. In the Thai market, the XC90 has been introduced with two powertrain options – a D5 diesel and a T8 plug-in Hybrid. While the former is capable of developing 225 hp of power , the latter has been tuned to extract 407 hp.

The ultimate SUV from the Japanese auto maker is finally here to entice the crowd and what would be a better platform to showcase other than Bangkok International Motor Show. It comes with economical 2.0-litre four-cylinder Boxer engine that is good enough for 150 hp.

Another drooling SUV at the show is the MU-X, which is aesthetically strong, mechanically sound and high in strength. It comes with a new 1.9-litre KDDI engine build under Blue Power technology.

Adding to the beautiful road machines that are centre staged at the motor show in Bangkok is the Lexus RC200t. Coming from the fleet of the luxury division of Toyota, the RC200t will be priced at THB 5.49 million and is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine.
