The long awaited Jaguar F-Type SVR is finally here, and will be officially revealed at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. JLR’s F-Type is the company’s range-topping sports coupe, and will now be joined by a limited edition SVR by Jaguar’s special vehicle operations division.

The Jaguar F-Type R Coupe is currently the most powerful Jag in the company’s line up, packing a brutal sounding 5.0-liter V8. JLR have stated that the 2017 Jaguar F-Type SVR will be capable of doing 200 mph / 320 km/h, featuring the same V8 engine.

The F-type SVR outputs 575 hp, up 25 hp from the F-type R Coupe. Combined with 700 Nm of torque, the wild sports coupe reaches a 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, which is 0.2 seconds faster than the F-type R Coupe. The increased performance has likely emerged from intensive weight saving measures.

Jaguar’s special vehicle operations have also announced a convertible variant, so enthusiasts can enjoy the magical V8 soundtrack coming from the upgraded titanium exhaust system even more. The new Jaguar F-Type SVR is to join the 2017 F-Type model year, accompanied by the recently unveiled F-Type British Design Edition.

Arriving in the summer of 2016, all 250 units have already been spoken for.
