Vauxhall has released a new teaser video for their soon-to-be-released Vauxhall GT concept.

The GT concept will be unveiled at this year’s Geneva Motor Show and, if sent to production, will be a direct rival to the Peugeot RCZ and Audi TT. It is likely that the GT concept will take inspiration from the 1965 Opel GT Experimental concept that was first debuted at the 1965 Frankfurt Motor Show.

In terms of architecture, expect the GT concept to be based on the existing Astra hatch platform and will likely feature a front-wheel drive setup. Both diesel and traditional gasoline engine options will likely be available if put into production.

The last range-topping coupe for sale by Vauxhall was the Monaro, which was only sold for a handful of years between 2004 and 2006. If reaction is perceived to be positive following the GT’s Geneva debut it is likely that Vauxhall will put the car into production as the company’s new range-topping coupe offering.
