Goodwood Members’ Meeting returns this year. We enjoyed last year’s Goodwood Members’ Meeting. It is Goodwood’s most exclusive motoring event but attracts a similar level of quality displays as the much larger Festival of Speed and Revival events.

Goodwood Members’ Meeting 2016 is the 74th Event. It will take place on 19 and 20 March 2016, we’ve secured tickets so we thought we might give you a preview of what to expect.

The star attraction this year will be the dramatic ground effect F1 cars. The list of participants numbers more than 30 and will include every model of ground effect Lotus, Ferrari 312T5, Williams FW07 and FW08, Brabham BT49C and McLaren MP4, as well as lesser known marques like Ensign, Fittipaldi, Osella and Wolf.

Altogether, the Goodwood Members’ Meeting 2016 will feature 12 races ranging from Edwardian leviathans to 1970s Grand Prix Motorcycles. The Alan Mann trophy will be of interest. It will gather together up to 30 pre-1966 Ford GT40s. The S.F. Trophy will gather together pre-Goodwood era Edwardian cars. We’ll also be watching the Graham Hill Trophy for GT cars.

As well as the ground effect display, Goodwood will also gather together high tech touring cars including the Alfa Romeo 155, Audi A4 Quattro, BMW 320i, Ford Mondeo, Honda Accord, Nissan Primera, Peugeot 406, Renault Laguna, Vauxhall Cavalier and Vectra and Volvo S40. Group 5 sports-prototypes will also be in action on the track.
