If you are looking for tuning inspiration, there is no better place to go than the Tokyo Auto Salon 2016. The annual event is held at the Makuhari Messe. Unlike the Tokyo Motor Show which takes place towards the end of the year, the focus at the Auto Salon is generally towards Japan’s thriving tuning community.

In the photo gallery you’ll spot a whole host of Nissan GT-R’s, including the eye catching Kuhl Racing and Artisizawa Project Nissan GT-R. It features a complete wide body kit constructed from fibreglass with Oriental-style engravings. The look is sensational and the design incredibly intricate. Under the hood it gets an 850 hp 3.8 L VR38DETT twin-turbo V6 engine.

Moving to the video you’ll spot models from the Carlsson range together with the booth girls at Rowen. A complete range of tuning products from the legendary Blitz tuning shop, a brief glimpse of the Wald booth and a Roberuta Lamborghini Huracan. Hamann had a presence with a tuned G-Wagon and Porsche Macan.

The main stream manufacturers also had a presence with Mercedes-Benz showing the new G 500 4 x 4 and Mazda showing its RX-Vision Concept to the Tokyo market. Elsewhere, we also spotted a Pagani Zonda wearing TWS Forged wheels, a crystal covered Lamborghini Murcielago and a number of tuned Lamborghini’s. Take a look at the video to get a taste of whats on display!
