2015 Mercedes-AMG A45 World Champion Edition

Earlier in the week, Mercedes-AMG revealed a special edition A 45 to celebrate its dominant year in Formula 1. The special edition Mercedes-AMG A 45 2015 World Champion Edition wears the Petronas livery of the Mercedes formula 1 car together with many of the optional performance parts.

Other than the new livery, everything appears the same as the Edition 1 A 45 which was announced when the A 45 first entered into production. The new hatchback gets a larger front splitter and a large roof spoiler at the back. It goes on display at the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 race this weekend.

In terms of colour, Mercedes-AMG actually offer three different shades of grey; mountain grey metallic, designo mountain grey magno and polar silver metallic. It gets 19-inch cross-spoke wheels painted in titanium grey as well as packages including the Night package, the AMG Performance seats, the AMG Exclusive package plus the AMG DYNAMIC PLUS package.

There is no word on exactly how many of these special editions will be produced and for which markets. However, it is said to be available between January 2016 and May 2016 and 65,402.40 euros (incl. 19% VAT) in Germany or 66,818.50 euros with the designo mountain grey magno matt paint.

For those that don’t follow Formula 1, the Mercedes AMG Petronas team have secured every pole position bar one and all but three race wins. Hamilton secured the championship title whereas Rosberg managed to secure second. Mercedes also wrapped up the Constructors Championship by a gap of more than 200 points.
