At the Los Angeles Auto Show 2015, four new BMW models will celebrate their respective North American debuts.

The most significant new BMW coming to LA will be the latest-generation 2016 7-Series. Underpinned by a lightweight platform which strips away 86 kg of weight over the outgoing model, the new 7-Series will be offered with two engines at launch in the United States. These will be the 3.0-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder with 320 hp of the BMW 740i as well as the 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 delivering 445 hp and found in the 750i model which is available in rear-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations.

Elsewhere, the wraps will be taken off the 2016 BMW M4 GTS at LA. It is reported that just 300 units will be offered in the United States with all including a selection of comprehensive modifications over the standard M4. These include the revised twin-turbo 3.0-litre six-cylinder utilising water-injection technology and pumping out 493 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque. When combined with a selection of weight saving components, the M4 GTS sprints to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds.

Other models being revealed by BMW at the Los Angeles Auto Show are the 2016 330e with a plug-in hybrid powetrain and the X1 xDrive28i.
