The Subaru WRX STI S207 Special Limited Edition has just been unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show 2015. Created exclusively for the Japanese market and limited to just 400 units, the WRX STI S207 edition includes a multitude of mechanical, aerodynamic and visual tweaks.

Starting with the engine, it is still a 2.0-litre turbocharged boxer four-cylinder but has been modified to now delivering 328 hp at 7200 rpm and 431 Nm of torque between 3200 and 4800 rpm. Those new figures represent 20 hp and 38 Nm gains over the standard WRX STI and have been achieved thanks to a tweaked twin scroll ball bearing turbocharger, performance muffler and exhaust system and a fettled ECU.

Elsewhere, the Subaru WRX STI S207 Special Limited Edition includes new front struts, rear dampers and springs from Bilstein as well as an aggressive front splitter with prominent flics, a redesigned front grille, subtle side skirts, a different rear bumper and of course the eye-catching carbon fibre rear wing. Further important changes include an even more potent Brembo brake setup, optimised steering-gear ratio, 19-inch BBS forged wheels with 255/35 tyres and tuned Vehicle Dynamics Control and Active Torque systems.

The car is available in Crystal Black Silica, Crystal White Pearl and WR Blue Pearl or as pictured, in Sunrise Yellow as part of the optional NBR Challenge Package Yellow Edition.
