Video: Chris Harris Explores the McLaren 570S

Chris Harris recently headed to the Portimao circuit in Portugal for a chance to test out the brand new McLaren 570S.

Alongside testing out the new British sports car on the track, Harris had the opportunity to test it on the road which is important as the 570S is being marketed as a true road car, rather than a race car for the street. It is unlike any other modern McLarens in a number of ways, most notably with its conventional suspension system but it’s clear that the company has hit it out of the park with the 570S.

The journalist is full of nothing but praise for the car and while he doesn’t specifically say it, it seems apparent that the 570S is better and more enjoyable to drive than all of its rivals. It also offers performance to rival some much more expensive supercars and while looks are subjective, we think it’s one of the most beautiful cars on the market.

The 570S is powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 570 hp and 600 Nm of torque. The power is transferred to the rear axle by a 7-speed automatic gearbox. It can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 328 km/h.
