AccorHotels is celebrating the opening of its new Pullman Kaifeng Jianye hotel in China. Located in the ancient capital of Northern Song Dynasty, the 186-room hotel proclaims to be the first “international upscale resort hotel in the local community”.

The hotel is a 50 minute drive from the Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport and within walking distance of local tourist attractions like Millennium City Park. Unsurprisingly, the hotel features traditional Chinese architecture as well as a fresh and contemporary design reflective of its surroundings.

Alongside the 186 guestrooms found within the hotel, there are also 13 luxurious suites which offer panoramic views of the nearby lakes and gardens. Some of the key dining options include the Pullman Cafe, the Lu Hua Chinese restaurant and the Xi Bar which serves a selection of wines, champagne, aged whiskey and cocktails.

Certainly one of the key attractions of the hotel is the large 870 square metre heated indoor swimming pool situated next to the Pullman Spa.

Discussing the hotel, chief operating officer of Accor Greater China Paul Richardson said “We are proud to be the first international hotel group to deliver a world-class standard of upscale hospitality service to travellers. The opening of Pullman Kaifeng Jianye sets an industry benchmark in this historic city with the brand’s signature cosmopolitan, vibrant and in-style services designed for today’s hyper-connected travelers.”
