MCP 106 Limited Edition is a modern yacht launched by Brazilian shipyard MCP Yachts last year. The first hull named Mars stepped out into fresh waters in September 2014, the second hull will be due for delivery later this year.

The MCP 106 LE yacht is made of aluminum and has an overall length of 32.31 meters. Its design and engineering was done by the in-house team at MCP Yachts who utilized a three deck layout that accommodates 11 guests and crew of 6. Aluminum was used in order to keep up with modern performance as well as maintain low power consumption.

Key to the design was the need for ambient natural lighting while cruising. Almost the entire main deck is covered in panoramic windows with a balcony glass that opens in the main hall. Other key considerations in the design included space and comfort – the owner’s suite occupies the entire main deck and there are five suites in total. The other four suites are located in the lower deck.

Powering the MCP 106 LE yacht is a combination of two CAT C32 Acerts engines rated at 1,825 bhp each. This results to a maximum speed of 26 knots and a cruising speed of 20 knots.

MCP Yachts enjoys leadership in the yachting industry in South America owing to their 35 years of experience in naval architecture. The shipyard began building yachts in the early 80s and has completed over 250 yacht designs to date.
