On the 12th of September, a red Ferrari 458 Speciale was badly damaged following a crash in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The exact cause of the crash isn’t known but the Italian mid-engined supercar smashed into a concrete wall outside a house in Bryanston. Immediately following the crash, it is reported that the male driver and female passenger fled the scene possibly because they had both been drinking alcohol beforehand.

As the images show, the damage sustained to the 458 Speciale is quite comprehensive. The entire front fascia has been destroyed from the impact which seems to have occurred at quite high speed. While no pictures are available from the side which took the brunt of the impact, there’s certainly a possibility the 458 Speciale will be considered a write-off as it seems inevitable that some structural damage would have been caused up front.
