Certainly amongst the craziest cars currently on display at the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show 2015 is the Brabus Mercedes-Benz G500 4×4². The standard model is already exceptionally impressive and the German tuning company has made it even more ridiculous. We just had to see it up close and personal.

Mechanically, Brabus has used its expertise to help extract some additional power from the twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8. Typically, the engine pumps out 415 hp. However, the Brabus modified car delivers an all the more impressive 493 hp and 523 lb-ft. Thanks to these improved figures, 0-100 km/h goes by in just 6.9 seconds with the Brabus G500 4×4² not letting off until 210 km/h.

From a visual standpoint, Brabus has made the car just that little bit more head turning. For example, the front now includes a different skid plate, new headlight units and surrounds as well as four different LED daytime running light units. The wheel arches have also been extended.

Other modifications include a new under-ride guard at the rear, custom black twin five-spoke wheels and a special sports exhaust system.
