As we speak, Ferrari is in the midst of developing a new sports car to resurrect the Dino name and to rival the McLaren 570S. While we don’t know that the car will look like, Evren Milano has released three renderings depicting how the new Ferrari Dino could look.

Of the renderings, two feature a flowing and aggressive front fascia alongside headlights similar to those of the Maserati Alfieri concept. Meanwhile, a third rendering depicts the Dino with Porsche 911-esque headlights which given Ferrari’s current design language, certainly won’t be used for the new sports car.

When the car launches, it will act as the firm’s fifth model and sit alongside the California T in terms of pricing. However, it will offer a sportier persona as well as traditional supercar styling. Beyond competing with McLaren’s offering, it will go head-to-head with range-topping versions of the Jaguar F-Type, Porsche 911 Turbo S and Mercedes-AMG GT. What’s more, if Audi’s rumoured twin-turbo V6 variant of the R8 comes to fruition, it will be another key player in this rapidly emerging market.

Powering the new Ferrari Dino is tipped to be a 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine.
